Hiking/ Little Gym/Halloween
November 9, 2006
We've added 3 new pages of pictures, and 2 new videos tonight. The first set of photos are from our hike to the top of Mount Pisgah. It was an absolutely beautiful morning for a hike. The leaves were in their peak and the weather couldn't have been better.

The second new page of pictures is from one of Elliott's classes at the Little Gym. And the newest set of pictures is from Halloween. We spent Halloween at Abby's house (she was the octopus) and Aiden (the dinosaur) joined us there too.

When you go look at the movies, remember, even if you're on a high-speed internet connection, and definitely if you're on dial-up, you might need to save the file on your computer first. To do this, right-click on the link for the movie, choose "Save Target As" and choose to save it someplace you can find, such as your desktop.

Apple Pickin' Time
October 14th, 2006
On Saturday morning, we went to Sky Top Orchard in Flat Rock, NC to pick some apples and take a run through their pumpkin patch. Elliott tried to pick up several of the very heavy pumpkins but was unsuccessful. In the apple orchard, Elliott thought it was pretty interesting that you could pick something off the tree and just eat it. In fact, once Elliott got the first apple in his mouth, he could hardly stop eating it to pick any more apples.

Around the yard
October 10th, 2006
Check out the pictures page for new pictures from this past weekend. Also, on the movies page is a new one of Elliott spinning. But of course, as soon as I took out the camera, he stopped. But at least we got 5 seconds of it. The file is big, so you may want to right click on it, choose "Save As" and save it to your desktop first. Then play it from there.

The Beach
September 19th, 2006
Elliott spent a whole week at the beach. He loved everything about it, from the water, waves, playing in the sand, chasing the seagulls, to playing in the kiddie pool at the condo, and let's not forget all the great grandma and grandpa time.

Click on the "Pictures" page for all the great photos. Don't forget to click on "Sept '06 Beach 2" for the second page of pictures.

July 4th weekend
July 2-4th, 2006
On Sunday July 2nd, we took a trip back to Chimney Rock. Our last visit was on New Year's Eve of 2005. Click on "Pictures" to see this weekend's pictures and you can click on "New Year's Eve '05" to see pictures from our last trip to Chimney Rock.

On July 4th, we were down in Columbia SC to visit Grandma, Grandpa, Great Grandma, and Great Grandpa. Elliott spent much of the morning in the pool that daddy blew up for him. Elliott was much too tired tonight to stay up to see the fireworks. Maybe next year?

The Beach / New pictures
June 27th, 2006
Haven't posted much over the past month or so, but we've just uploaded 4 new pages of photos of Elliott and what he's been up to.

The first set of pictures you see when you go to the "Pictures" page is from our recent trip to Folly Beach SC. Elliott loved running all over the beach. He wasn't afraid at all to run straight into the water and waves.

Easter and the park
April 16th & 23rd
We've done a lot over the past two weekends. For Easter we went down to Columbia to visit Grandma. Elliott really enjoyed walking all over her yard, checking out bugs, flowers, the geese, the water, his fire truck and his Easter basket, full of candy and toys!

This past weekend, Elliott's cousins from Baltimore were down visiting. We hung out at the park in Asheville on Saturday. We had a picnic and played in the huge playground. Elliott really loved the sandbox and swings.

Click on Pictures to see the Easter pictures, and then click on "The Park" to see those pictures as well.

What does a lion say?
March 30, 2006
There are so many things we miss documenting with our camera. Elliott is constantly making us laugh and smile with all the little funny things he does, most of which we think, are to make us laugh so that he can laugh along with us.

Just posted today on the "Movies" page is a clip titled "What does a lion say". Check it out.

St. Patty's Day
March 19, 2006
What is Elliott up to you say? Well, he's is impressing us every day with something new. He is walking really well now. It seems he caught on in only a matter of a few days. Elliott also is understanding simple tasks that we ask of him, like, "don't put that in your mouth", "don't drop your carrots on the floor, keep them on your tray", and "bring that to daddy".

Another development we've noticed is sometimes he gets frustrated when he can't get things to do what he wants. An example of that was tonight when he was trying to get his foot into mommy's shoe. Elliott kept trying to manipulate the shoe with his foot, turning it over and around, trying to find the right angle that his foot would slide inside. Finally when he had enough, he melted down. We told him to bring the shoe to us which he immediately picked up, walked over and we showed him how to stick his foot inside, he was quite amused by it.

This past weekend Aunt Jenny and Uncle Brad came for a visit. Click on "Pictures" to see the latest snapshots of Mr. Photogenic.

Two new videos
February 11, 2006
Click on Movies and check out the two newest videos we just posted. One is of Elliott walking with his new train (pay special attention at how Tipsy keeps her distance). The second video is of mommy and daddy taking Elliott sledding on his new sled from Uncle Brad and Aunt Jenny.

Snow
February 9, 2006
Today was Elliott's first time in the snow. We took him for a ride on his new sled given to him by his Aunt Jenny and Uncle Brad. Elliott seemed to just be content to stay on the sled and not get in the snow.

Elliott's is starting to get his first molar in which would bring the tooth count to 9 total teeth. Elliott has also given up the bottle, moved to a sippy cup, stopped using binkies, taken a few steps without holding on to anything. He also can moo like a cow and woof like a dog. He really enjoys listening to music and he likes to dance a little to it.

FIRST Birthday!
January 22, 2006
Elliott's first birthday was very exciting. We first started the celebration at home with Elliott on his birthday which was Wednesday. Mom made cupcakes for Elliott which was his first taste of something this sweet. At first when the cupcake was placed on his tray, he didn't know what to do with it. He gingerly poked at the sprinkles on top of it. Then instead of lifting it up, he leaned down and stuck his tongue on the sweet icing. With one quick taste he knew he had to stuff the whole thing into his mouth. He loved it.

On Saturday we met some friends and family for Elliott's birthday lunch at an Italian restaurant. Not only did we have a regular birthday cake, but the grocery store also gave us a "smash cake" for him to dig into. Being Elliott was now a pro at eating cakes, it didn't take him long to figure out how to enjoy this small piece of heaven.

After lunch and the cake, Elliott visited with everyone at the party. If you check out the video from the party, you'll see that Grandpa really entertained Elliott with a puppet monkey.
