Flower Carpet & Mountain State Fair September 6-7th, 2008
This past weekend we checked out a couple local fun things. On Saturday we headed the 5 miles down the road to our neighbor's house. You know, the Vanderbilt's? First Day of Preschool August 25th, 2008
Today was Elliott's first day at preschool. He was really excited to go and didn't have any problem with us leaving him there. He had his Lightening McQueen lunchbox and thermos packed with his morning snack. He was ready to go! Click on "Pictures" to see a couple that we took this morning.
North Myrtle Beach 2008 August 2-9, 2008
We spent a whole week in North Myrtle Beach with Grandma and Grandpa Urban. Elliott loved having more than just mommy and daddy to play with. Grandma was always willing to play in the sand with Elliott, and Henry always could count on her to dig him a hole that would fill up with water that he could sit in.

The Rocket's Red Glare July 4th, 2008
We spent July 4th with our good friends Rick, Melanie, Joshua, & Natalie. We had some time in the pool, juicy hamburgers & hotdogs, and then some spectacular pyrotechnics courtesy of Rick. The kids loved the sparklers. Check out the pictures and videos below.

With summer being here, we here at elliott.baumrind.com have gotten pretty slack at finding time to post pictures and video. We're now home from a trip to the Baumrind reunion in Savannah, Georgia and a trip to Tybee Island. So, not only do we have a ton of pictures from this latest trip, we have a ton of pictures from the past 2 months too! Trip to Charlotte May 10, 2008
I'm a few days late posting these pictures. But the weekend of May 10th, we went down to Charlotte for Grandpa's birthday and to spend a night with Aunt Jenny and Uncle Brad. Jenny sure was ready for our visit. She had bought Elliott some bubbles and a kid-size set of horseshoes, or as Elliott calls it, "Ringers."
On Saturday, we all took the Linx train to Uptown Charlotte where we walked around and had lunch in the South End at a really cool diner. After lunch, we boarded the train and headed back to Aunt Jenny and Uncle Brad's house and then came home to Asheville. On Sunday, we met Grandma and Grandpa Urban at the Biltmore Estate for Mother's Day brunch at the Deerpark Restaurant! It was DELICIOUS!
On May 20th, Henry will be 11 months old. He's really walking well now. He can stand up without having to hold onto anything and get from place to place without falling down. He even thinks he's hot stuff and chuckles when he walks while drinking from his sippy cup at the same time.

We have 4 new new videos below. Also, on the "Pictures" page are some new photos from our April 18-20th trip to Columbia SC to visit the grandparents. Elliott LOVED playing in the lake and in Grandma's big beautiful yard!
This weekend we're headed to Charlotte for Grandpa Vernon's birthday. Henry is starting to walk as you can see in the videos. He can take about 5 to 7 steps at a time.....and he's only 10 months old! He also can moo when you ask him what a cow says.

New videos April 15, 2008
If you look at the picture to the left (click on it to make it larger), it's a live picture of Mount Pisgah which isn't very far from us on the Blue Ridge Parkway, you might see (depending on when you read this) some of the remnants of a short snow "event" that we had yesterday. Nothing stuck to the ground here in Asheville, but at the higher elevations (above 3500 feet like Mt. Pisgah), it did.

Hilton Head March 28-31, 2008
Elliott, Henry, Jan & Elizabeth all went to Hilton Head Island for 3 nights to spend it with some of our friends from Raleigh. It was great getting to see Leigh Ann, Shawn, Riley, Landon, & Reese. Elliott loved playing in the water, sand and chasing the sea gulls. Henry seemed to really enjoy eating sand.... and I mean, REALLY enjoy. It was almost impossible to keep him from eating it.

Easter 2008 March 21, 2008

Birthday and Bubbles February 3, 2008
This past weekend was busy. On Saturday we went to Aiden's birthday party. All the pictures that are posted from the birthday party were taken by Aiden's mom.
On Sunday we played out in the yard with a bubble maker which was a party favor Elliott received at Aiden's birthday party. Henry loved watching all the bubbles.
